You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. The data is removed from the system at once; backups age out after 14 days. This page walks through each kind of account and the case where the app cannot be opened.

What is deleted with a student account
- The username, display name, note, avatar and PIN.
- Every exercise assigned to this student and every attempt, including results the teacher has already seen.
- Sessions on every device.
The teacher will see the student disappear from the class. Tell the teacher before deleting. A teacher can also remove a student from the class page; the outcome is the same.
3When the app cannot be opened
- Teachers: email hotro@pianoclass.app from the email you sign in with, with the subject "Delete account". We delete within 7 days and confirm by email.
- Parents or students: ask the teacher of the class to remove the student in the app. If the teacher cannot be reached, email us with the class name, the username and a way for us to verify you are the parent; we handle it within 7 days.
4Backups
The system backs up nightly and keeps backups for 14 days. A deleted account can survive in a backup for up to 14 days and is never restored on its own; after that, no trace remains. Details in the privacy policy.
